In the shadows of my mind
A flicker of light has died
An ember that once burned bright
Now fades into the night
Burnout, a beast that lingers
A weight that only grows
It feeds on all that's good and pure
And leaves a gaping hole
I see myself, a puppeteer's toy
Controlled by hands unknown
I dance and spin to a tune so dark
As the strings cut through my soul
The world around me twists and turns
In a kaleidoscope of pain
A labyrinth of broken dreams
Where hope has long been slain
Yet in this darkness, there's a spark
A glimmer of something new
A hope that I can rise again
And start my life anew
So I gather up the broken pieces
And put them back in place
I rebuild what's been torn apart
And...
