Most mistake Meluwu for some sort of egg creature, but their shell is in fact chitinous, like that of an insect. They are surprisingly tough, if not particularly fast, and are popular in Schmryptomon fighting academies as first mons for new trainers. They were also the first Schmryptomon discovered after the initial appearance of Schmryptoad all those years ago, making them one of the most studied and appreciated companions in Schmryptopia.
