Catepill are a common sight in the Gaia Forest, and the soft electric buzzing sounds they make form the base note to the forest's aural background. They have an organ that functions as a powerful natural capacitor, and anyone foolish enough to touch one is delivered a nasty electric shock. When they are ready to pupate, they craft a remarkable pod in which they are liquified and reformed; the timing of this metamorphosis with the onset of harvest time has made them a popular symbol for rebirth and the passing of seasons since ancient times.
