Thrashling infestations are common among old industrial sites, so much so that it was once believed that they actually live by consuming rust. While it is an important supplement to them, they actually survive on a diet of small invertebrates. Their rhythmic thrumming cry is famously haunting, and has even been sampled in several popular songs. While they are high maintenance and not particularly bright, they are amusing companions.
