Thunderjaw are depicted in dozens of known cave paintings, terrorizing and feasting upon ancient humans, virtually unstoppable until the invention of the bow and arrow tipped the balance in favor of the primates. Their awesome power was demonstrated again recently when one escaped from a reserve and rampaged through the countryside for hours before it could be stopped.
