Few realize that pizza was originally inspired by the odd protein-based effluents of the Pizzeon. When pursued by a predator the Pizzeon is capable of exuding a variety of edible distractions that help ensure its escape. Unfortunately this made them extremely vulnerable to hungry New Yorkers who hunted them to near-extinction and now must make due with a flat-bread-based recreation of the classic avian snack.
