Beauty with a deadline

“Jirai-kei girls" are all the rage in Japan. They are dressed up in cute things with ribbons, lace, and frills, but there is something dark about them. The "expiration date" is the time they have to stay young. Will they be thrown away one day, like disposable consumables? I depicted such melancholy of them in my paintings.
