Detour — Chaumont, June 9th 2021

Detour is a random walking experiment. It consists of walking in the city with a dice in my pocket and, at each intersection, letting the dice decide where I go next. For each location I do several random itineraries during a set time limit. The path generates an abstract shape on the map. Each walk has an anchor in time and space, it’s been executed in a specific location at a specific time, which makes the digital file not only unique but also tangible. https://www.eltono.com/lab/projects/detour/
