Caterpillar, Walking is an 'analog-meets-digital' reimagining of Eadweard Muybridge's pioneering locomotion studies. The twelve positions of the caterpillar were first designed in CGI, then 3D printed, hand painted and, finally, animated in stop-motion. The elasticity is an illusion created by solid objects. Oscar-nominated artist PES brings together the past and the future in this, his first NFT. Caterpillar, Walking is part of the FITC Reflections 2021 collection and a chance to own a piece of digital film history. The collectors will own a 4000 x 3560 pixel infinite video loop.
