The original fragments series featured scrambled pixels from the likes of Raphael, Brueghel, Winterhalter. The concept was that the past, for most modern people, only exists as little bits of flavor and color - and the true substance and meaning of it is lost on us. This new series has more complex compositions and living strokes to tie them together - featuring pixels from modern consumerist brands or older artwork that has been transformed with palettes and Processing algorithms totally alien to the original context.
