Cosmic Collision

The beauty of photographing salt lakes is that they take on many different forms. Some are colourful, some are full of textures, and some are all of the above. At the start of 2023 I made it a goal of mine to photograph as many salt lakes as I could while on my road trip around Australia. I had my mind set on a small town in South Australia that was known to have hundreds of unique salt lakes. After weeks of traveling and searching different salt lakes around the region, I found myself at this one. The majority of salt lakes I had visited nearby were full of red water and white crystallised salt, so the light pastel explosion of colours were a refreshing change.
