When I really got into the depths of healing, I started feeling emotions very intensely and in my entire body. "Flight" felt cold, "fight" felt hot; fear rattled my nervous system like no other. It often felt like I went from sprinting to a full stop. Quickly I learned I just need to let myself feel it. There's nothing I can do to make that full body response speed up. There's nothing I can do to prevent it — nor do I want to, feeling that intensely helps me feel alive. The only thing I can do is breathe, remember to breathe in, and breathe out.
