김신, Shin Kim(b.1993) Seoul, KR Digital file Non-fungible token(jpg) 3840x2160px 2020 Unique 우울증은 무수한 감정을 불러 일으킨다. 타투는 우리가 몸에 단순하게 꾸미는 것을 넘어서 특정한 기억을 새기는 행위로도 볼 수 있다. 「Depressed」 연작에서는 우울증을 겪으면서 느낀 주된 고통스러운 감정들을 이미지로 표현하였다. 감정을 몸에 새긴다는 것은 그 고통을 잊지 않기 위함이며 또한 반대로 감정에서 벗어나기 위함이기도 하다. 우울증을 극복하려는 과정에서 상기와 망각이 동시에 필요할지도 모르겠다.
