Today was the last day of traveling Southeast Asia for a month, pushing myself past sleep deprivation, midnight wake-up calls, and even being attacked by wild monkeys. Because I know I need to keep shooting my best work yet to ensure this photography career is sustainable.
For the final adventure, I was in East Java, Indonesia, where I found a driver willing to embark at 2am for my last sunrise location. I drifted between sleep and consciousness on the twilight drive, whirring past the jungle. Eventually, he signaled we were here.
