The world's largest salt flat, or playa, at over 10,000 square kilometres in area.
Salar was formed as a result of the transformation of several prehistoric lakes that existed about forty thousand years ago. It is currently covered with several meters of salt crust, which is exceptionally rich in lithium.
After rain, a thin layer of dead calm water turns the apartment into the world's largest mirror with a diameter of 129 km.
