In this collage I brought the blue background to create a sense of depth and space, monochromatic background being common in cubist collages, as it allows the artist to concentrate on the shapes and textures of the materials they will use. The red paper cut is a bold and striking element, and is intended to draw the viewer's eye to the center of the composition. The pair of legs is another interesting choice, as it introduces a figurative element to an otherwise abstract work, playing with the idea of representation and abstraction.
