Solitude

The man sat alone at the bus stop, lost in thought. He stared out into the street, watching the cars rush by, but his mind was elsewhere. He was waiting for someone, but they were late. As he sat there, memories flooded back to him, memories of a time long gone. He sighed deeply, wondering when his companion would finally arrive, and if they would bring him back to the present.
