The Iris Nebula is a reflection nebula in Cepheus. A very young, hot, and bright star is illuminating the gases around it in a blue halo. Surrounding layers of dust are also visible.
I photographed this nebula with a small telescope. It took 2 nights and over 10 hours of 5-minute exposures to create this image.
