Sunset Piano

Sunset Piano is an abstract composition that conveys the feeling of the moment when the sun dips below the horizon. It started out as a video taken at sunset over the East River in New York City. I then used both off-the-shelf and custom plugins for Adobe Photoshop and After Effects to isolate the key colors and motions. The title 'Sunset Piano' was inspired by the resulting shifting tones and shapes that resembled a visual instrument. This piece is part of my ongoing examination of technology’s effects on our modern environment.
