Cecil Gibbeaton was having a terrific time: he was shooting monkeys in the wild. It may sound strange at first, but Cecil was a photographer and “Monkeys in the Wild” was the subject of the next cover story of Voguenon, a famous ape fashion magazine. Cecil's interest began early in his life when his nanny discovered his talent and began teaching him the basics of photography and film development. It was quite an unusual hobby for monkeys back then, as most monkeys got agitated by the flashlights and didn't like the darkroom.
