Struggle

Verdi Jackson’s, “Disoriented”, “Struggle”, “Nirvana” and “Fantasy,” is a series of works that honors the past as a way to find meaning in the future. When confronting the beauty of the statue through his camera lens, Jackson describes being overcome by a disorienting feeling, a state of Nirvana. It is the search for meaning in art and creation which connects the past, the present and the future, as Jackson writes, “Looking for the meaning and messenger of life has been a luxury as early as the last century, but now it has become a necessity of life. The meaning of life is not in you, but in you.“
