Mimic Winterberry

The Colchicum Caeruleum is a common, medium-sized plant and can be found in caves and other dark places. It blooms in late winter. It has tiny, palmate leaves, which are usually light green. It also grows decent sized flowers, which can be yellow, dark orange and grey. These plants grow in huge numbers, but it's complicated to control and maintain their growth. They can be used as a cooking ingredient, similar to herbs. As a defense mechanism the Colchicum Caeruleum grows tiny thorns. They rely on self pollination to reproduce. Once pollinated, they grow small, delicious nuts.
