This image was on my wishlist for many years. And it was possible almost 4 months before Covid struck. These are colorful row houses in Reitdiephaven, Groningen with one face on the waterfront. I wanted a perfect reflection but every time I visited this place to create an image, it was windy and it was then I decided to go for blue hour taking reflection of the warm light on water.
I love using long exposure and creating surreal effects on images with choppy water. After a couple of experiments, I decided to opt for 6-Stop ND Filter to create this image with exposure getting extended to 39 secs.
The final image does give a notion of time passing by while the row houses stood still.
