Liquid Power

This photograph almost cost me my life. I was photographing a large swell in Big Sur. I found a little spot where I could climb down on these rocks that jutted out into the ocean a little bit. I was perched there for about 20 minutes shooting these large waves crashing into this cove and I was right up in the chaos. I stood up and looked over an overhang that was protecting me when I saw a massive wave heading right for me. This wave smashed into the rock that I thought was my protection and almost washed me into the ocean. My camera was waterlogged and broken and I was soaking wet, but made it out alive and luckily the images were saved!
