Identity Crisis

As a child of immigrant parents coupled with Latino machismo, knowing you're different from an early age can be traumatic. Overcoming that trauma is another hurdle in and of itself. Coming to terms with one's identity can be difficult. Some never do. So, one adapts. Reserved, distant, a wall flower. "You're too white" "You're too Mexican" "Stop acting like a girl" "F**"
