I created this collage of paintings by Kamal ud-Din Behzd, also known as Kamal al-din Bihzad or Kamaleddin Behzd who was a Persian painter and the head of the royal ateliers in Herat and Tabriz during the late Timurid and early Safavid Persian periods. He is regarded as the pinnacle of the great tradition of Islamic miniature painting. His work is distinctive in that it combines Persian painting's traditional geometric elements with elements of his own design, including the huge empty spaces in which the painting's subject dances.
