Forgotten Faces - Khashayar Sharifaee

This image is part of my long-term project on low wage seasonal workers. A portrait of two saffron flower sellers in their pop-up shop in a local market in Zaveh County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. In a connected world, the media spotlight shines brightly on those in need. But millions still suffer in silence, My aim as a photographer is to restore dignity and portray suffering wherever it exists. Image: 2016 Hope for Iran is a collection of artworks from Iranian artists. It is a testimony to the strength of the Iranian people and the diversity of their art.
