MEMPHIS IN THE HOUSE ASICS was just me popping my shit. I made it at the beginning of the process of my EP "My Golden Horse" and the song is about getting up, strapping your boots (asics) and getting to work and forcing the outcome you wanna see in life, no matter the odds stacked against. A lot of artists in this space have existed in an industry that's relentless and unforgiving.... It took a lot for me to become a fan of myself and tell myself I was deserving of blessings. Also the outro of this song is insane and it brings me so much joy every time I hear it.
