Princess Ansari

Anousheh Ansari is an Iranian American engineer and co-founder and chairwoman of Prodea Systems. The Ansari family is also the title sponsor of the Ansari X Prize. On September 18, 2006, a few days after her 40th birthday, she became the first Iranian in space. Ansari was the fourth overall self-funded space tourist, and the first self-funded woman to fly to the International Space Station. She is the CEO of the X Prize Foundation.
