Blinding light of the sun on fresh snow

On that morning after the first snow has fallen, there is a magic of some kind in the air. The sun takes on a different presence, its light feels almost solid, and the beauty of nature's geometry is revealed in the trees. This series is a kind of meditation for me. It starts as a freeform sketch, drawn - usually by hand on a small notecard - without any thoughts on what the image should be. I follow the lines that my subconscious mind creates, and find the image that is trying to be born from it.
