Towers tall and proud stood,
A symbol of our nation's might,
But on that fateful morning,
All was not right.
The skies grew dark and smoke filled the air,
As planes struck with evil intent,
Innocent lives were lost,
In a moment of horror and lament.
People ran and panicked,
As the towers fell to the ground,
A nation in shock and mourning,
As the death toll was found.
But out of the ashes,
A spirit of resilience emerged,
As we came together,
Our hearts fiercely urged.
To honor the fallen,
And to rebuild once more,
To show the world,
We will endure forevermore.
The memories of 9/11,
Will forever be ingrained,
In the hearts and minds,
Of a nation forever changed.
