A Stuhrling Original model 895.01 ChronoPulse from the Monaco Collection purchased in January of 2021.
Inside the 42mm x 10mm stainless steel case, the ChronoPulse is powered by a Seiko made Hattori VK83 movement. The VK83 is a mecaquartz combining quartz timekeeping with a mechanically driven chronograph.
This style of watch is known as a pulsometer or doctor’s watch. The dial of the ChronoPulse is calibrated to show a pulse rate based on 30 pulsations. Locate the patient’s (or your own) pulse, tap the start/stop plunger, count 30 beats and stop the chronograph to see the pulse rate indicated on the dial.
