Poise

Poise is a state of balance or equilibrium, graceful and elegant bearing in a person. It’s steadfast confidence and decisive, rational action. It’s wisdom, strength, and composure. Poise is grace under fire. Poise is the person standing in strong repose; focused and confident; never stirred by the trivial and always acting with an air of elegance. Poise is also dignity and self-respect. This artwork aims at articulating and emulating the feeling of poise. The inspiration for this painting came from simple observation of severe desaturation of those qualities especially on the social media platforms making poise a forgotten or neglected art.
