Mansfield Poodles, 2020

Jayne Mansfield, movie actress, nightclub entertainer and Playboy mate of the 1950s and 60s, was known for her bombshell figure. She is considered the first true ‘reality star’ of the C20th; she enveloped her public image in a fluffy, over-the-top cotton pink candy aesthetic, and habitually pulled ridiculous publicity stunts such as items of clothing ‘accidentally’ falling off in front of the press. She ultimately became far better known for this than her films. Here she is surrounded by a coterie of poodle-headed pin-ups and buff body-builders.
