"A Turtle Wearing a Wizard Hat, In a Red Chair" first appeared in the second issue of the comic book series, "Truth" by Jared Carver, in 2013. The turtle has since been put on shirts and other merch as the mascot of the series. This comic has been funded through crowdfunding campaigns on Kickstarter. The original line art was commissioned by Francis "Frost" Llamzon and the color was later added by Jared Carver
