Ahu-Akivi #Moai

Moais are monolithic human figures carved by the Rapa Nui people on Easter Island in eastern Polynesia between the years 1250 and 1500. There are around 1100 to 1680 statues (moais) on the Easter Island (Rapa Nui) in the Valparaíso Region of Chile. The Moais are chiefly the living faces of Deified Ancestors. (Ahu) is a part of the land representing a stage where several Moais are placed. Ahu Akivi is a particular sacred place in Rapa Nui (Easter Island), looking out towards the Pacific Ocean.
