This gif is a bit meta. South Korean people since the Korean War have been in love American culture, but they always put their own twist on it. In the internet age however, the leftist control of Hollywood has meant that Koreans aren't buying the American Dream as much as they used to. Ironically, because of the politicization of entertainment, Americans are now buying back an iterated version of American culture through K-pop because its content is seen as being more genuine.
