I'm truly thankful, as someone born in the USSR, that JFK was a bit laid back, and was what I call 'reliably corrupt'. He understood the way real men behaved, and didn't panic in the face of war hawks in his administration arguing that the most dire of prepper fantasies were about to become a reality. JFK may have been a whoremaster, but most men in his position are. It is a bit ridiculous the cult of personality that developed after his death, but the fact of the matter is that he succeeded in not allowing hundreds of millions of people to die in a nuclear holocaust. That more than balances out whatever personal flaws he may or may not have had. Instant sunrises are the worst.
