Against the Tide

It's a funny thing, being alive. All the joy and happiness in the world wouldn't mean a thing without being balanced by crisis', yet it is those very hardships we work so hard to avoid and ignore. Would it not be better perhaps to embrace them? Think of them as currents; ignore them and you're adrift in the sea, fight them and you're broken and tired. Rather, alter your path -- your way of thinking -- and find yourself moving in a new direction away from danger and towards self actualization.
