Yuri Gagarin Stamp

The Yuri Gagarin postal stamp is the third of the Space Exploration Collection and is a tribute to the Soviet pilot and cosmonaut who became the first human to journey into outer space. On 12 April 1961, at 6:07 am UTC, the Vostok 3KA-3 (Vostok 1) spacecraft was launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome. It is when Yuri Gagarin became the first human to travel into space. On the moment of launch, Gagarin’s words were: “Off we go!
