On May 25, 2020 Minneapolis cops killed George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man.
The cops took a series of actions that violated the policies of the Minneapolis Police Department and turned fatal, leaving Mr. Floyd unable to breathe, even as he and onlookers called out for help and Mr. Floyd yelled "I CAN'T BREATHE."
George Floyd's death sparked protests around the world, as well as a number of artistic works.
This piece was minted as a tribute to Mr. Floyd. It mimics the effect used by Shepard Fairey to create "Hope," a picture of Barak Obama.
