'Alien' by CMYK

The 1979 film poster 'Alien' was originally designed by graphic designer Phillip Gips with the tag line written by his wife, 'In space no one can hear your scream'. It was/is a minimalist masterpiece of movie poster advertising, and a perfect example of how advertising can - and sometimes does - merge with art. I wanted to rework this piece using a retro pixel art style that compliments the era, yet also retains the stark purity of the original. This remains one of my favorite minimalist pixel art pieces I have created to date. 'Alien' by CMYK has a mint of just 100 that will ever exist. (Delivered as a non-compressed PNG 1024 x 1024 px.)
