CARA DELEVINGNE, ALLURE, NEW YORK, 2014

Working with Paul Cavaco for ‘Allure’ magazine was always exciting. The images were not based on fashion but beauty, and it was open to interpretation how to express a beauty product or part of the body. I always enjoyed letting my mind run free with these interpretations, just as it is here illustrated on Cara by makeup artist Yadim using a particular foundation. We just let the foundation flow down the face. The results are often more surprising than when photographing a straight forward fashion image showing a dress.
