15 years ago, as new immigrants to Jerusalem, Sarah and I rescued a small black kitten. She watched our 3 children grow, moved with us to 5 different homes, kept our beds warm at night, and protected us from mice and cockroach alike. 4 months ago she was diagnosed with cancer and after two surgeries we decided to let her live out her last days in dignity at home away from the knife.
We don't know how much time she has left, but as an integral part of our family, we will do everything we can to make sure her remaining few months are filled with love and comfort.
