The year 1986 was very important for me as it was my first learning lesson about art from my Uncle Chuck who taught me how to use light. He was an illustrator who painted The Titan Rocket, the Mars Viking Lander, Skylab and the Space Shuttle. This was also the year of the Challenger disaster and I wanted to pay respects to both. His remains were launched into orbit December 21st, 1999 as a space burial on the 7th Celestis flight after others like Gene Roddenberry, Eugene Earl Shoemaker and Timothy Leary.
