Bush Elephant Skull. Elephant tusks have evolved to be shorter over time due to poaching, yet the longer and curved tusks you see here are ideal to the females of the species in terms of mating. Titled Thanatosic as a tongue in cheek to wanting to have the long tusks as desired by females yet it being bad for their survival as a species. There are 258 in this series representing the weight in pounds of the longest known tusk of an African bush elephant measured to date. 50% of all profits from this mint will be donated to globalconservationforce.org towards funding anti-poaching efforts around the world.
