Friends Don't Bite

A dark, cobblestone path led Pip around mountains far too tall for him to climb. The stone was cold but a welcome distraction from the sounds he could hear below. Keeping a tight grip on his lantern, Pip moved steadily through the darkness. Large mushrooms lined his path, they seemed to grow well in the cold temperatures here. Not even 10 minutes into his journey in this world, a huge reptile with ghost like skin appeared from the darkness below. Could this be another friend or potentially something worse?
