Al Bunny Borland was a famous character in the 90s TV show Burrow Improvement.  He was famously known for wearing his multitudes of flannel shirts, and more importantly, for stopping his cohost Tim from doing stupid things on the set of Tool Time.  After the show stopped airing, Bunny Borland eventually retired to heaven and was given angel status for the way he put up with all of Tims antics.  He did not get there unscarred though.  His ear was injured from a stupid antic that Tim did one time with a power tool, and it serves as memory as to why he got his halo.
