Dearest MOMA is the donation letter of one of the artworks by the artist. The letter itself refers to the famous work Dearest Art Collector (1986) by Guerilla Girls which was a critique towards art collectors about not collecting enough art created by women artists. As an emerging artist, Altunay calls into question her own status as an artist. She questions emphatically and humorously the art world she personally finds inspiring, and its institutions. She creates an absurd intersection by challenging the institution to answer which the response is already anticipated. It is a play that reverses the positions within the art ecosystem.
