Move around and explore this urban backyard garden. Until fairly recently, most of what we now call Queens, New York City, was farming land, arable soil that fed Manhattan. Now it's almost impossible to find fresh, local produce. For blocks and blocks, nearly identical houses sit on quarter acre plots. Once a week, men with machines cut down the vegetation to make everything look nice. Instead of growing food, we're growing sickness, disconnection, loneliness, and heartache.
